The analysis is conducted using Eviews 12, resulting the negative and significant effect of profitability (ROE) to the stock returns. However, other independent variable including liquidity (CR), leverage (DER), are found to have no significant effect on stock returns, while the COVID-19 effect found positive and significant effect on stock returns. Furthermore, the inflation is only found to moderate the relationship between profitability (ROE) and stock returns.
