Abstract

Pengaruh Work Overload Dan Role Ambiguity Terhadap Employee Performance Dengan Job Stress Sebagai Variabel Mediasi Pada PT. XYZ Thesis by Putri Azizah Supervisor Dr. Laura Syahrul, SE, MBA and Prof. Dr. Donard Games, SE, M. Bus ABSTRACT Competent, dedicated and high-quality employees are certainly needed in order to make an optimal contribution to the company through maximum employee performance. Companies need to pay attention to factors that affect employee performance such as work overload, role ambiguity and job stress. This study aims to examine the effect of work overload and role ambiguity on employee performance mediated by job stress. The population in this study were 41 employees of PT XYZ with sampling techniques using saturated sampling. The data analysis technique used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 4 software. The results showed that work overload has a positive but insignificant effect on employee performance, role ambiguity has a negative and significant effect on employee performance, work overload has a positive and significant effect on job stress, role ambiguity has a positive and significant effect on job stress, job stress has a negative and significant effect on employee performance, job stress can significantly mediate the effect of work overload on employee performance, and job stress does not significantly mediate the effect of role ambiguity on employee performance. Key Words: Work Overload, Role Ambiguity, Employee Performance, Job Stress
