Abstract

Traffic accidents in Indonesia, especially in Sukoharjo Regency, show an alarming number. This thesis analyzes the implementation of policies carried out by the Sukoharjo Police to reduce the number of traffic accidents. This research uses an empirical juridical approach, collecting data through interviews, observation and document study. The research results show that even though policies such as Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) and traffic safety outreach have been implemented, challenges such as low public awareness and poor infrastructure are still obstacles. This research recommends increasing education and collaboration with related agencies to increase policy effectiveness.
